The Amperion GroundStation™ is a SNMP based Network Management System (NMS) for monitoring and managing the Amperion PowerWiFi™ network. The PowerWiFi™ hybrid solution is our unique and robust broadband network architecture that blends Broadband over Power Line (BPL) and WiFi to provide cost-effective broadband access and superior end-to-end QoS for Voice, Video and Data. GroundStation™ features an industry first electricity outage management application for utilities.

GroundStation supports complete performance monitoring of the Amperion PowerWiFi™ network. The GroundStation collects and graphs network throughput, temperature, uptime, availability and other critical performance parameters. The GroundStation stores historical data and can to display hourly, weekly, monthly and yearly graphs for analysis.

GroundStation allows the export of network management data as static or dynamic Google Earth files. The static export provides snap-shots of the network. The dynamic export enables monitoring of the PowerWiFi™ network geographically in near real-time.

Utilities can quickly pinpoint electric outages using an industry first electric outage management feature. This feature allows utilities to determine the exact location of the outage, and thereby provide faster outage management services to customers.

Fault Management
GroundStation serves as a central repository of all SNMP traps and Syslog messages generated by the network’s Amperion Griffin and Eagles units. GroundStation has built-in tools for analysing these traps so that network administrators can easily detect faults in the network.
